TheBestOP10 is a small editorial team. We do not hands-on test the products we write about. Each guide compares manufacturer specifications with independent reviews and lab measurements, and lists its sources at the end. Affiliate revenue is disclosed and does not change our recommendations.
How we research
We have not hands-on tested the products we write about. Each guide is built from three kinds of information:
- Manufacturer specifications. From the maker's own product pages and launch announcements, or from retailer spec listings when the maker doesn't publish them.
- Independent reviews and lab measurements. From established review outlets and test labs. When a measured result differs from the maker's claim, such as battery life, we show both.
- Known variations. Many products are sold in several configurations or generations under one name. We flag this where it changes what you get.
Every guide ends with a list of the sources it used. Where a figure is a manufacturer claim rather than an independent measurement, we say so.
How we order products
The order in each guide is our editorial judgment of which products suit the most readers, based on the information above. It isn't a numerical score, and we don't pretend it is. Each product's "best for" line says who it suits.
How we earn money
Some links are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We may also show display ads. Brands can't pay to be included or to change the order. See our affiliate disclosure and privacy policy.
Updates and corrections
Each guide shows the date it was last updated. We don't quote prices, because they change constantly; links go to the retailer so you can check the current price. If you spot an out-of-date spec or a broken link, write to desk@thebestop10.com with the page URL.
